We Asked. They Told.
Here's what they told us...

As you can see, the more customers used Gartland Foundry, the more they appreciated us. We've split the survey results to show how our top 8 customers' answers compared to the overall customer answers. We could sit back and be satisfied with making above-average scores in all four of them told us we were doing a good job, but we still had room for improvement, we listened. And now . . .

We're Aiming For Fives...

1. Gartland's personnel received extensive training in the Philip Crosby Quality Improvement Process, and the demanding Crosby standards have had a pronounced impact on the accuracy with which we produce your castings.

2. As a result of the Crosby Process Implementation, Gartland's already fine productivity has increased by as much as 20%, giving you the rewards of even more attention to workplace efficiency.

3. And there's another by-product of the Crosby Process: Gartland has reduced its excellent internal scrap rate by nearly 40%. Here again, a way we can hold our prices while others pass price increases along like clockwork.

4. Customer-return material, at acceptable industry standards before the quality initiative, has been reduced even further, by over 25%. One more way we help minimize the average frustrations of purchasing gray iron castings.

5. By increasing productivity and reducing scrap, Gartland maintains very tight lead-time specifications, so vitally important in today's marketplace. Customers don't get lost in the shuffle at Gartland.

6. At a time when many foundries are pushing delivery dates further out, Gartland is working hard to customize delivery programs to reduce customer inventories. With efforts such as our programs, your deadlines are our deadlines.

7. Gartland now provides castings with a superb electrostatic painting, to prevent rusting and/or to give an initial prime coat with much better results than tank dipping castings. It's another example of Gartland's commitment to technology that makes you and your products better.

8. Gartland continues to be there when you need us--if not before. Service has been, and will always be, a central focus at Gartland.

9. Many of our prime customers have been machining and assembling Gartland castings for years, and have included Gartland in their supplier-reduction programs. And our success in delivering and satisfying customers has helped us survive the rigorous demands of supplier-reduction programs.

10. Gartland has secured it's certification of ISO 9001:2000. This solidifies Gartland 's commitment to the best quality system possible.
